Boisdale of Belgravia
boasts one of the most extensive lists of malt whiskies to
be found in any bar
or restaurant – a phenomenal
selection of 170 scotch malt whiskies is complemented by a
wide range of single grain, premium blended, Irish and American
whiskies.
The
list is comprehensively annotated – with tasting notes
and bottling details for each single malt. Vodka drinkers and
lovers of Cognac, Armagnac and Eaux de Vies will not be disappointed
either.
Boisdale
of Bishopsgate carries a slightly smaller list – although
every effort is made to satisfy all customers’ specialist
requirements. Boisdale has well established links with Havana
and is at the forefront of the New Alliance between Scotland
and Cuba.
Having resurrected the fashion for Cigar Divans (long before
many other bars followed suit) Boisdale of Belgravia offers what
must be the most comprehensive choice of hand-made Havana cigars
of any restaurant in the world. Cigars, like fine wine, improve
with age and all Havanas on the well annotated Boisdale list are
identified by their year of manufacture.
Many old and rare cigars are offered.
As a result of its
strong connections with Cuba and close relationship with Hunters & Frankau – the
sole UK importer of Havana cigars – Boisdale can frequently
offer cigars not to be found anywhere else.
With 19 brands and over 120 different sizes and vintages of
Cuban cigars available, all stored in perfect condition, anyone
from the novice to the seasoned smoker is guaranteed satisfaction.
Boisdale of Bishopsgate offers a similar but slightly more restricted
selection.
Both establishments are powerfully air conditioned and the
air is electrostatically filtered to ensure that smokers and
non-smokers
alike can live in harmony. Most of Boisdale’s Cigar List
(other than rare and irreplaceable cigars) is available for
sale by the box, at very competitive prices.
